In principle, a Sharpe Ratio measures the excess returns above the risk-free rate of return. The risk-free rate of return is simply the return on the safest type of investment instrument, such as government bonds and fixed deposits. As each country has its own risk-free type of investment return, StockHero allows the user to set the Risk Free Rate of Return in the Settings page.
