Webull 2.0

Release date: Nov 12, 2025

The StockHero team is pleased to introduce the new Webull 2.0 API connection, designed to deliver improved functionality and expanded trading capabilities. Key enhancements include:

  • Support for Cash, Margin, and Roth accounts

  • Extended-hours trading order execution

The Webull 2.0 API is currently in BETA, which means users may experience occasional issues during use. We encourage users to report any bugs via email so that our team can promptly address them. Priority will be given to issues related to this new API.

Users currently connected through the existing Webull 1.0 API may continue using it for now. However, we strongly recommend connecting to the new Webull 2.0 API and testing it with a few bots using limited capital.

Please note that the Webull 1.0 API will be phased out once the Webull 2.0 API exits the beta phase. The beta period is expected to last between one to six months, depending on the volume and frequency of reported incidents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to delete my existing Webull connection before connecting to the new Webull 2.0 API?

Can I connect to both Webull 2.0 Cash account AND the new Webull 2.0 Margin account?

Yes you can.

When can I disconnect my older Webull 1.0 API and move all my bots to the new Webull 2.0 API?

The Webull 2.0 API is currently in its beta phase, which means it has not yet reached full operational stability. While the API has undergone extensive integration and internal testing, real-world usage remains an important step in validating its performance and ensuring long-term reliability.

You may move all your bots to the new Webull 2.0 API during the beta phase, but you need to be aware that issues may arise from your use of the new API.
